The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Tagore Govt. Arts and Science College is committed to give better career guidance and support to students in getting suitable job and placement after the studies. It helps students to improve employability skills and trains them for campus selection activities within the college and help to arrange for campus selection in the college by inviting corporate companies.

Functions of the Career Guidance and Placement Cell:

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell regularly conducts Counselling Programmes.
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell motivates Final year students to participate in campus selection programmes.
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell encourages students to develop their soft skills and interview techniques.
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell maintains relations with local companies and organisations for placing students.
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell arranges Spoken English classes for students frequently.

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of the college has conducted a Three Day Workshop on "LAPTOP SERVICING" from 23rd to 25th January, 2018 (3 Days) and a Three Day Workshop on "MOBILE PHONE SERVICING" from 6th to 8th February, 2018 (3 Days) in association with TCIL-IT, Puducherry.

Thiru.R.Kamalakannan, Hon'ble Minister for Education, Govt. of Puducherry inaugurated a Three Day Workshop on "MOBILE PHONE SERVICING" on 06/02/2018. Dr.Sasi Kanta Dash, The Prinicpal, TGASC delivered a Presidential Address. Prior to that, he planted two ornamental trees along with Dr.Sasi Kanta Dash, The Prinicpal, TGASC in front of the conference hall

55 participants for "LAPTOP SERVICING" and 65 participants for "MOBILE PHONE SERVICING" were participated.

Thiru.E.Vallavan, Commissioner for Labour, Labour Department, Govt. of Puducherry delivered a valedictory address and distributed the certificates for the participants for both the workshops on 08/02/2018. Dr.Sasi Kanta Dash, The Prinicpal, TGASC, Dr. N.Ilango, HoD of Tamil, TGASC, Dr. V. Ramaprabou, Asst. Prof. Of Psychology, TGASC, Resource Persons from TCIL-IT and Dr. R.Velu Raj, Placement Officer, TGASC were at present.
